In this heartwarming episode of AnimalZone, we return to Greener Pastures Farm Sanctuary, now located in the serene hills of Arroyo Grande, California. Back in Season 3, we first met Diane Dieterich and Joe Kennedy when their sanctuary was in Santa Ynez. Since then, Greener Pastures has grown—literally and figuratively—relocating to a spacious 5-acre ranch with an impressive barn and welcoming new rescued residents.


Join us as Diane and Joe introduce us to their delightful animal family, including donkeys, sheep, goats, geese, chickens, and Dinkey the pig. Dinkey’s story is particularly touching. Rescued from an unfortunate situation where she had been overfed to the point her forehead fat covered her eyes, Dinkey received a brow lift at UC Davis and began a healthy journey, shedding over 190 pounds. Today, she’s thriving under their care.


We’ll also explore the compassionate mission of Greener Pastures, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating animals from neglect, factory farms, and kill pens. Visitors to the sanctuary can experience the joy and healing that these animals bring, while learning about kindness and reverence for all life.
